May 15, 2012 – Change was the buzzword in the fastpitch world this winter and it’s reflected in the pre-season rankings as the New York Gremlins will open the season at the #1 spot.

 

Despite changing their entire outfield, the Gremlins were the consensus pick for the top rank, while the team where that outfield now resides, Hill United Chiefs, came in at #2. Pushed down to #3 is the two-time defending champion Jarvis Travelers/Fish & Chips as they changed their entire pitching staff.

 

Rounding out the top five are Pennsylvania Power and Minnesota Angels, two teams that have battled hard head-to-head in the last two World Tournaments.
