Herb began his fastball career while attached to the US Navy Seals in
the Phillipines. He played for the United Armed Forces in the Pan
American games. He became a player for the Long Beach Nitehawks in
l964. He managed and co-sponsored Manny's of San Bernardino, Ca. in
1974 and 1975. In 1976 he coached and co-sponsored the Lakewood Jets
of California. In l977 he rejoined the Long Beach Nitehawks. In
1982 he formed the Arizona Si Senor Amigos. Si Senor played in twenty
two consecutive ISC World Tournaments. In addition to fastball Herb
also played baseball from 1982 to 1992 in Arizona and Mexico. Herb was
elected into the Arizona Baseball Hall of Fame. Herb is also a member
of the Arizona Softball Hall of Fame.
