ISC Series To Focus On ISC II Qualifying Tournaments
When the International Softball Congress presents its World Tournament in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, August 9 -17, a companion event will be held at the same time. While the ISC will be held at Peter Hallman Ballyard, the ISC II will start off at nearby Bud Park and finish up at the Peter Hallman Ballyard.
The I.S.C. II tournament will have its inaugural run in Kitchener-Waterloo beginning Tuesday, August 13 and concluding Saturday, August 17.
Nineteen teams plus the host team (Kitchener Pride) will compete in the event which will include three days of round-robin play in pools of five teams each followed by a single-elimination playoff to determine the championship. All competing teams will play a minimum of four games with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the playoffs.
International Softball Congress Area Tournaments will be the forum from which the 19 teams will advance to the showdown in Kitchener-Waterloo.
Beginning this week, a series of press releases will focus on the 19 ISC Area Tournaments which will qualify teams for this event.
These releases will provide information on the dates, locations, costs, formats, and contact persons for those tournaments which will qualify teams to participate in the first I.S.C. II event.
The International Softball Congress would like to encourage all teams to enter the tournament in their area which can put them in contention for a spot in what promises to be a most interesting international event
