The International Softball Congress (ISC) has once again continued a
partnership through the 2000 season. Schutt Sports of Litchfield, Illinois
has agreed to be a major sponsor for the ISC's Youth Team Development
Program. Schutt Sports is a relatively young company headed by President
Julie Nimmons. Because of its recent success and top-of-the-line
products Schutt Sports is now looked at as one of the top sporting good
manufacturers in the United States. Schutt manufactures a line of
basketball backboards and standards along with a full line of softball and
baseball protective gear and bags. In football, a complete line of
helmets, pads and protective equipment is offered.With the sponsorship,
Schutt Sports has agreed to contribute $2,500 to be used for creating new
boys 18 & under teams for this upcoming season. Schutt Sports will
also develop and provide each new ISC boys 18 & under team with an
"equipment package" valued at $500. Schutt Sports also will
provide a vendor booth at the ISC Men's World Tournament in St. Joseph,
Missouri on the opening weekend of August 11-19, 2000. Like a year ago a
"Game MVP" award will be provided by Schutt Sports for the
winner bracket games that will be played in this years ISC Men's World
Tournament. The 40 total awards being given is not yet known, but have
been speculated as being a batting helmet. The International
Softball Congress is extremely excited to continue such a wonderful and
beneficial partnership with Schutt Sports. The ISC also appreciates the
assistance and support that has been extended to the organization by all
members of Schutt Sports. The ISC looks forward to and foresee another
outstanding and productive year with the help and cooperation from Schutt
Sports.
