Frank Porth, Treasurer of the ISC Passes Away

 
Frank Porth, Treasurer of the ISC passed away in El Paso Texas on February 7, 2000


Francis (Frank) H. Porth 79, passed away Monday, February 7, 2000. He was a retired accountant for El Paso Natural Gas Co.  He served in the US Army during WWII. Frank was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Alta Vista Optimists, and the International Softball Congress (ISC).

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis and his son Charles. Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Mary Naber, grandchildren Christopher, Rory and Maureen; great grandchildren Travis, Austin, Vanetta, Deanna, Ayuna, Olga, Victoria and Karla.

Visitation 4-8pm Thursday, February 10 at Harding Orr and McDaniel. Funeral services 10am Friday, February 11 at 10am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, at 1000 Montana Ave. El Paso with Pastor Arthur E. Solem Officiating. Internment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.

Frank was the 2nd longest tenured ISC member to Royce Heath.  Frank came into the ISC in 1961.  He was ISC Umpire in Chief until Bob Minshall took over in early 90's. Frank has been ISC treasurer for as long as anyone can remember.

The ISC extend their deepest sympathy to the family of our late friend, Mr. Frank Porth.
