I.S.C.  II QUALIFYING TOURNEY FOR  MID-ATLANTIC AREA ANNOUNCED

(Third in a series of tournaments which will qualify teams for the ISC II tourney to be held in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario,  August 13  17, 2002)

ATTENTION MEN'S FASTPITCH TEAMS FROM THE MID-ATLANTIC AREA!!!

When the Mid-Atlantic ISC Area Tourney is held over the weekend of June 28  June 30, an added feature will be competition for a spot in the brand-new ISC  II tourney.

Commissioner Bill Howell is announcing the ISC Area Tourney which will be held at Willow Street Fields in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  There will be two divisions with a "Major" division qualifying a team for the ISC World Tournament and a separate division qualifying a team for the ISC  II Tourney.

The format used for the ISC  II Tourney will depend on the number of teams entered.  If five or fewer enter, the format will be round robin; if six or more the format will be double elimination.

Entry fee for the tourney will be $225.

Commissioner Howell points out some highlights of competing for the spot in ISC  II:

**The location of the ISC  II tourney is within driving distance (9  10 hours) of the  Mid-Atlantic area and thus a rather easy trip for an area team to make;

**With the American dollar worth $1.61 Canadian, quality rooms can be booked in Kitchener-Waterloo for around $40 - $50 per night;

**The tourney will give teams the opportunity to play in front of large crowds of very knowledgeable Canadian fans;

**When your team is not playing, your players will have a chance to watch the best teams in the world compete in the ISC World Tournament which will be contested at the same time;

**Both the NAFA 'AA' (in Oregon) and the ASA 'B' (in Texas) represent expensive trips from the East Coast of the U.S.;

**The weather in Kitchener-Waterloo should be just perfect for competitors and fans alike.

There are just 167 days left until the ISC  II first pitch is thrown on August 13, and the days are slipping away.  There is a great opportunity for a team from the Mid-Atlantic area to have its ticket punched for this new and exciting ISC competition - - - and the key is through participation in the ISC  II qualifying tourney to be held in Lancaster, Pa., June 28  June 30.
