Les Novak, International Softball Congress Area Commissioner for the state of Minnesota, has announced the details of the first-ever qualifier for ISC II competition to be held in the great state of Minnesota.

The weekend of June 15 - 16 will see a gathering of teams vying for the automatic spot in the unique and path-finding ISC II tournament set for Kitchener, Ontario, August 13 - 17, 2002.

The setting for the qualifier will be the West St. Paul Men's tournament with the winner getting the nod for the trip to Kitchener.

A double elimination format will be used for the qualifier. The entry fee is $200 (US).

The qualifier is a "stand alone" event and is not a part of the Minnesota Area ISC tournament.

Teams which plan to compete in the qualifier should become familiar with the eligibility rules for competition in the ISC II in Kitchener. These rules can be found at: http://www.iscfastpitch.com/webstart/press/pr263.htm
