New ISC Sponsor New Grip Enhancer Product For Teams

The ISC recently entered into a sponsorship agreement with a new company, Gorilla Gold of Lewiston, ID. They have developed a very effective grip enhancer alternative to pine tar. It is a beeswax-based product imbedded into a cloth to be used in place of traditional pine tar for better grip and tackiness, without the mess and color of pine tar.

ISC Executive Director Ken Hackmeister and ISC President Dick Mason discovered the product at the recent Super Show. Several teams at the AAU Men's International Tournament at Disney World in January tested the product and reported it was excellent for both hitters and pitchers.

Gorilla Gold has been approved by Major League Baseball and by the ISC umpire staff.

The advantages of this product include its clear coloring so one doesn't get the pine tar black on bats, hands, uniforms or gloves. It washes off easily yet performs as well as pine tar.

As part of the agreement with Gorilla Gold, the ISC will make a small allotment of the product available at introductory pricing for ISC teams and players.

Each rag comes in its own plastic pouch and typically retails at $5 per rag or $40 per dozen. Until supply is exhausted, the ISC will make Gorilla Gold Grip Enhancers available at the following prices:

1 rag - $4
4 rags - $12
1 dozen rags - $30

Above pricing includes S & H charges.

To order, make check or money order (US $) payable to ISC and mail to:
