YOUR TOWN CAN HOST THE ISC MENS
FASTPITCH WORLD TOURNAMENT !

For over 50 years the International Softball Congress World Fastpitch Tournament has enjoyed constant growth and has developed into more than just another softball tournament; it is a happening - the most prestigious event in the sport. "The ISC World" draws 48 of the best men’s fastpitch teams from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America and New Zealand (the ISC is currently negotiating with Japan and other countries). In addition, dozens of the top players from the softball-crazy countries of Argentina, Australia and New Zealand come to the U. S. and Canada each season, and the ISC World Tournament team rosters are dotted with their names.

The ISC World Tournament attracts wide media coverage. In Sioux City, Iowa in 1991, for the first time the ISC World Tournament was televised live for a local audience. In 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah the Utah Jazz Network taped three games the final weekend. These were shown in prime time on a delay basis over Prime Sports Network out of Houston, Texas. The tournament receives both radio and television coverage annually. The tournament, which begins on the second Friday in August each year, draws thousands of enthusiastic fans daily during the 10-day run. They enjoy a contagious carnival atmosphere which prevails while the World Championship of men’s fastpitch softball is determined and while millions of dollars in revenue are being created for the local area.

The ISC requires that a sealed financial bid be submitted. Bids are opened, read and voted upon at the annual ISC Board of Directors meetings which run concurrently with the World Tournament. Copies of each bid shall be provided for each ISC commissioner (approximately 50) at least 24 hours prior to bid presentation A formal presentation - speeches, videotapes, slide presentations, distribution of brochures and promotional items, etc. - may be scheduled. Each bidder is allotted 30 minutes for such a presentation Successful bidders must deposit a minimum $5000 "good faith" guarantee with the ISC.
