Judd Berthiaume Appointed to ISC Specialist Role As Pitching Clinic Administrator

(Back To Press Releases)

A young, highly decorated, and very active fastball player and enthusiast has been appointed to a key position in the administration of pitching clinics around the continent.

Judd Berthiaume of Roseville, Minnesota, has been appointed to a position as ISC Specialist. His area of responsibility will be as Pitching Clinic Administrator.

In this key role, young (24) Berthiaume will report to ISC Developmental Vice President, Wayne Fisher, who is enthusiastic about the appointment, citing Judd as “a young man who has literally grown up in the game”. Fisher continues, “He is an extremely dedicated and intelligent man who at a very young age has agreed to take on a demanding administrative responsibility. His accomplishments and awards speak for themselves, and we welcome him to this most important position.”

Berthiaume will replace Kyle Beane in this key administrative position with the International Softball Congress.

These responsibilities, which will now be assumed by Berthiaume, include handling all correspondence and questions about pitching clinics, how to stage and promote them, how and where to obtain instructors in the various areas, coordination of mailing of instructional videos to clinic organizers, and communicating with both ISC personnel and tournament directors on all aspects of staging pitching clinics.

Kyle Beane has recently been elected to the A.S.A. Board of Directors as an Elite Athlete Rep. He will also continue to serve the I.S.C. as a Player Rep for the Eastern Region.

Judd Berthiaume has been in the game of fastball since early in his teenage years, having started to pitch a decade ago. He has played with teams which won three ASA National tournaments including the 18-Under with the Poynette Nitehawks and the 23-Under (twice) with Munger, Michigan. He was twice selected to the ASA All-American team in those tournaments. His teams have also notched several top five finishes in ISC Developmental tournaments where he was awarded one “Most Valuable Player” award along with several All-Tournament positions.

A graduate of University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, he is currently employed by the University in its television studio.

Judd is excited about his new position and describes himself as “looking forward to getting started!”

As a player, Berthiaume is currently active with Munger, Michigan, as well as planning to participate in league play with Grand 7 of St. Paul. He is also playing with the “Aggies”, a team which he formed with his brothers and a group of their friends who have taken up the sport of fastball after playing on a state champion high school baseball team with St. Agnes H.S. in St. Paul.

His background and activity in the sport are impressive - - - his enthusiasm for the sport, and for the new responsibilities are world-class.

Welcome, Judd Berthiaume, to the International Softball Congress.
