Unique Format to Determine Qualifiers from
Ne-Io-Kota Area for ISC World Tournament and ISC - II Tournament
The format may be a bit unusual, but the stakes are just as high and the competition is sure to be every bit as keen when teams from the states of Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota square off for automatic bids to both the ISC World Tournament and the ISC - II Tournament.
Commissioner Chuck Welker is announcing the following area tournament information and details:
A Round Robin format will be used with games played over TWO weekends: May 22-23 and June 26-27.
Games will be played at the Seymour Smith complex (at 72nd St. and Harrison) in Omaha, NE.
Each team will play EVERY OTHER TEAM in the tournament. The overall Won-Lost records will be used to determine the qualifiers for both the ISC World Tournament and for the ISC - II Tournament.
A maximum of 12 teams will be accepted for the tournament. As of February 15, six teams are entered and interest has been shown from six other teams
Entry fee will be determined by the number of teams which enter. If eight teams enter, the entry fee will be $325; if 12 teams enter, the fee will be $460. Checks should be made payable to C. Welker/NE-IA-KOTA
