ISC Announces Umpire Sponsorship With Gerry Davis Sports

The International Softball Congress and Gerry Davis Sports of Appleton, Wis., have just signed a four-year agreement through which Gerry Davis Sports will sponsor the ISC Umpire program and assist the ISC with some innovations in umpire administration.

Gerry Davis is a current Major League umpire and crew chief. Having grown up in the Midwest and lived in Appleton for more than 20 years, Gerry has been exposed to men's fastpitch all his life. He is very knowledgeable of the game. He has attended several ISC World Tournaments held in Kimberly over the years.

The ISC can look forward to a close working relationship with the Gerry Davis Sports team since Umpire In Chief Designate Ron Brinkman lives in Appleton.

Details of the agreement were not released but among other things, the ISC umpires can look forward to a new look logo on their umpire uniform. The GDS group will also assist the ISC in implementing a series of umpire clinics throughout the US and Canada. This is a function they currently have in place for baseball.

Gerry Davis Sports specializes in official's attire and equipment for softball, baseball and basketball.

Gerry Davis Sports now becomes the official supplier of ISC umpire attire and equipment. They can be reached at: 1-800-916-9088 or visit their web site www.gerrydavis.com or by email at safe@gerrydavis.com

Gerry Davis catalogs will soon be sent to all ISC Commissioners and former ISC World Tournament umpires.

The ISC looks forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Gerry Davis Sports.
