SUBJECT:	2002 ISC Male Developmental Fastpitch Softball North American Championship Tournaments

The International Softball Congress (ISC) Male Developmental Committee, on behalf of the entire ISC organization, invites your Jr. Men's 23 & Under and/or Boys' Under19/18&Under and 16/14/12&Under fastpitch softball/fastball teams to our 2002 ISC North American Championship tournaments. It should be noted that all ISC male developmental fastpitch/ fastball tournaments for 2002 will employ the 3-game guarantee format made popular by NAFA (North American Fastpitch Association).

We strongly encourage U.S. Jr. Men's and Boys' teams to enter one of the tournaments to take advantage of the opportunity to play Canadian young men's/boys' fastball teams. Brackets will be drawn to ensure that Canadian and U.S. teams have maximum competition against each other. We may have to limit the number of entries at these tournaments to a maximum of 16-20 teams, so please enter early! Enclosed please find a copy of each registration form (12-, 14-, and 16-U; U19/18-U and 23-U)-please feel free to photocopy them if you are entering more than one team and/or are entering more than one tournament. Additionally, you may find the registration forms on the ISC's web page (www.fastpitch-softball.com).

Boys' Under19/18&Under (Eastern) June 29 - July 1, 2002 Moncton, New Brunswick
Boys' Under19/18&Under (Central) July 12 - 14, 2002 Frankenmuth, Michigan
Boys' Under19/18&Under (Western) July 5 - 7, 2002 Lynden, Washington
Boys' 12-, 14-, and 16-Under June 29 - 30, 2002 Sioux Falls, South Dakota

The ISC Male Developmental Program Committee plans to bring the champions of our three Boys' Under-19 North American Tourneys to Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, August 15-17, 2002 for a playoff to determine an overall champion at the ISC Men's World Tournament. We would appreciate any input/ideas from you as to how we can strengthen our young men's/boys' fastpitch softball/fastball program and make it as appealing as possible to teams.

The ISC is an Allied Member of the ASA and ISC Commissioner/Developmental Director Tom Stasik is an official member of the ASA/USA Male National Team Selection Committee. Thus, U.S. players who participate in ISC male developmental fastpitch North American tournaments are eligible to be nominated and selected for national or international (ISF) fastpitch softball teams. ASA/USA selection committee members will be in attendance at the ISC male youth FP/Fastball Tournaments.

Please give strong consideration to entering one of our ISC Male Developmental fastpitch/fastball tournaments and let us hear from you with ideas to make this good program even better. You are the future of our great sport!!!
