ISC II and World Tourney Spots at Stake
Kansas City, Kansas, will be hopping over the weekend of June 14 - June 16!!
The stakes will be high when the field squares off in the 2002 International Softball Congress Area Tournament for the Missouri Kansas Area.
ISC Area Commissioner Rodney Gray has announced the dates and sites for the
competition which will qualify teams for the two big international events set for later in the summer.
The competition will be held at Santa Fe and Turner Fields in Kansas City, Ks.
The winner of the tournament will gain an automatic spot in the ISC World Tournament when that premier event is held in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario,
August 9 - 17.
But another cherry is to be picked from the Missouri-Kansas Area Tournament!. Commissioner Gray has announced that a second team from that
tourney will receive an automatic berth in the ISC II tournament when that
brand new international event is held in Kitchener August 13 - 17, 2002.
The format for these tournaments in Kansas City will be round robin with a
three game minimum guarantee with a double knockout elimination to follow the round robin portion of the tourney.
The entry fee for the Missouri-Kansas Area/ISC II Tourney has yet to be determined. All questions concerning the event should be directed to

Teams which plan to compete for the automatic berth in the ISC II which will be at stake in Kansas City should become familiar with the eligibility
