ISC TO ESTABLISH POOL OF WORLD-CLASS UMPIRES

Les Novak, Chairman of the International Softball Congress Umpire Committee, has announced today that the ISC is currently establishing a pool of world-class umpires. He has invited persons interested in being included to contact him for both applications and for information on qualifications needed in order to be considered.

“The ISC conducts the finest fastball tournament in the world . For this reason, the ISC believes that the umpires officiating in the ISC World Tournament must also be the finest officials in the world”, according to Novak.

His announcement continues, “In order to establish this, the ISC is in the process of establishing a pool of world-class umpires selected from the United States, Canada, and other countries playing major men’s fastball as a source of officials for future ISC World Tournaments.”

Novak notes that those umpires who desire to be included in this pool must meet certain qualifications as prescribed by the ISC.

Umpires who would like to receive an application for inclusion to the ISC umpire pool and more information regarding the necessary qualifications are urged to contact Les Novak at bestumpLN@aol.com
